Not the end of the world, but nevertheless a below average dorm. Rooms are comfortable; though noticeably smaller than Keeney and Wriston doubles, they still leave plenty of space for each roommate. Each roommate is provided a wardrobe that fits a decent amount of clothes, though it is smaller than the closets provided in other dorms. There is no AC, and the heating is difficult to control; many residents have experienced clattering from their radiators to the point where they have transferred out of the building. The walls are somewhat thin, and it can be difficult to sleep on weekend nights if your neighbors are awake.
Amenities are decent. The lounge and cooking facilities are spacious. Bathrooms are true communal and do not crowd often. The bathrooms were poorly kept in my year, with the sinks and toilets only cleaned once or twice a week, and the shower themselves only cleaned once a semester, if that. The hot water in the shower was somewhat unreliable, and the sinks had plumbing problems. There are no paper towel dispensers. The laundry room can get crowded at times.
The location is less than ideal for the dorms here. Yes, it's only a half mile walk to the Main Green, a ten-minute walk to the Ratty, or a 20-minute walk to Andrews. It's not terrible, but it gets annoying when it's raining out, you're sick, or you get locked out. The saving grace is the proximity to Orwig Library and Barus and Holley. Still, if you are the type to wake up 10 minutes before your 9am, you may want to change your sleep schedule now.
