Built in 1910, Miller Hall is a Colonial style brick building with white limestone trim. Named after Mr. and Mrs. Horace G. Miller, the hall was originally built as a women's residence hall. In 2013, Metcalf, Miller and Andrews Halls were renovated. Upgrades included both interior and exterior finishes and conversion of singles to doubles to create a second area on campus devoted to First Year housing. The project was designed to be LEED Gold rating.

Miller is one of the best first-year dorms at Brown. It's really clean and the amenities are great. There's a lounge on every floor and the basement has a great common room, which ultimately facilitates community building within the dorm. The size of the rooms depends on which room you get, with some doubles being huge and others pretty cramped. The elevator is also a huge plus.

Miller is one of the best freshman dorms on campus. It's situated in north campus, which while out of the way of most academic buildings, is still a center of activity for first-years so it's pretty nice spot to be in. Amenities include an elevator, renovated bathrooms plus bright hallways, stairways, and loungesΒ β€” and are some of the best you'll find at Brown aside from the other new constructions like Wellness/Danoff/Chen. Individual rooms vary in quality and size, but are generally pretty nice. Count yourself lucky if you get assigned here :)
